spotlight is ours

... look closer is over a month old now, which is an improvement for me because my last blog lasted about 4 days. But I really want to expand my blog further, by posting my outfits/ clothes that I have created. Problem is is that I don't have my own camera. I don't want to borrow anybodies either since I want to update fairly often and I wouldn't want to fill up their memory card with pictures of me. I'm thinking about using my camera phone which isn't incredibly blurry I will think about other options..

What I love most about award season is looking at all of the gorgeous dresses that the actresses get to wear. But last night while watching the red carpet arrivals at the SAG Awards I was a bit underwhelmed. Hardly anyone took risks and while some dresses were pretty no one stuck out to me. If I got the lucky opportunity to borrow some amazing gown for a night, I would have these as my options:

Alexander McQueen for Target

Yup, first Alexander Wang creates a less expensive line and now Alexander McQueen. Both Alexanders seem to be in the same state of mind since, lets face it, who is going to spend $300 on a t-shirt or $1,600 for a dress in this economy? (I'm speaking for myself at least) Alexander McQueen's line will be in Target stores around March which should mean that the prices will be affordable. I kind of wish that it Alexander picked H&M over Target, only because I rarely go to Target but this may be their first designer collection that I will buy from them.

i've got soul but I'm not a solider

I just wanted to make a post about my all-time favorite band, The Killers. I have been a fan of theirs for over 5 years now and saw them in concert again last night. They were absolutely amazing, i lost my voice from screaming/singing to every song on the top of my lungs.
